The story follows the incidents that took place when the king of Kanchi visited Puri during the chariot festival. He saw the king of Puri sweeping the chariots of the deities and ridiculed him. As a result, the ‘Kanchi Abhijan’ took place two times. The second time, King Purushottam Dev won with the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the princess of Kanchi was taken by the king who later on became his queen.
